Natasha de Francisco is Technical and Creative Director at ÆRAS, leading work across health research, education and knowledge design.

​

Her technical work draws on economics, epidemiology and public health, with a focus on research methodology, health systems, traditional knowledge and the development of evidence-informed programmes. Over two decades, she has worked with WHO, UNICEF and the World Bank on research and programmes across multiple health and development settings.

​

In education, Natasha develops curricula, learning environments and interdisciplinary science and heritage programmes for children and young people. Her work in Switzerland and the United States has combined academic learning with experimentation, languages, arts and design.

​

She also leads ÆRAS’ visual and creative practice. Natasha founded DEFRANCISCOART in 2016 and was selected for Pictoria Vol. 2: The Best Contemporary Illustrators Worldwide in 2018.

​She holds a PhD in International Economics from MGIMO and completed postdoctoral training in Health Economics and Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
