Map Photo agency, which Mahmud leads since 1993, most does social documentaries highlighting minors and people living on fringes. Mahmud helps run primary education program in Thanchi, one of the remotest location of Bangladesh bordering Myanmar. He is working with the indigenous population there since 2002. He raised fund through photography and visual awareness.
